Jeffrey Munn is a sober coach and life coach with a master’s degree in clinical psychology. He has been sober for 15 years and is the author of “Staying Sober Without God”, which provides individuals with an approach to long-term addiction/alcoholism recovery that does not require faith in a god or supreme being of any kind.

Life coaching - Guidance towards achieving general life goals, whether they be personal or professional.
Communication coaching - Whether it’s a relationship with your significant other, boss, or mail deliverer, communication is at the core of it. Like any skill, clear, effective communication can be practiced and improved.
Conflict resolution - Guidance towards resolving conflicts through clear, direct, empathetic communication and skilled listening.
Mindfulness coaching - Coaching specifically geared towards helping clients develop a mindfulness practice, which has been shown to reduce stress, boost one’s ability to manage emotions, and improve quality of life.
Drug education - I provide realistic, non-fear-based drug education to schools, group homes, and youth organizations.
Psychotherapy - Assessment and treatment of various mental health conditions. I am licensed to practice psychotherapy with individuals residing in California only.

Are you a therapist?
I am licensed to practice psychotherapy in the state of California only. If you reside in California and would like psychotherapy, please contact my current employer, Valencia Relationship Institute. I am unable to provide psychotherapy to anyone outside of California.
What’s the difference between psychotherapy and coaching?
While there are some similarities, coaching and psychotherapy are actually quite different. As a coach, my job is to provide you with support, advice, and concrete guidance towards achieving your goals. If your challenges fall under the realm of a diagnosable mental health condition such as anxiety, depression, unresolved grief and trauma, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, etc., I will strongly suggest you seek psychotherapy with a local psychotherapist who is licensed in your state. As a coach, I do not provide treatment for mental health conditions. Coaching can be a good compliment to psychotherapy, but it is NOT a replacement for psychotherapy.
Can you guarantee results?
I can guarantee that I will listen to you and provide you with the best coaching I am able to. I have helped many people change their lives significantly, but at the end of the day, they did all the hard work and I was there to support them. I will never force you do anything you don’t want to do or make major life decisions for you. I provide guidance, and your job is to use that guidance and support to make your life better. I am not changing your life, you are. Be wary of any coach, therapist, or guru who guarantees results. Humans are complex and nobody has all the answers. We are all doing the best we can with what we know.
How much coaching do I need?
The amount of coaching you need to achieve your goals is highly dependent on the nature of your goals, the effort you put in to implementing suggestions, and how frequently you attend coaching sessions. Some people only need a few sessions to get them started and on the right track, while others may prefer regular coaching sessions for months or even years so they can maintain their progress and continue to grow. The choice is entirely up to you.
Pricing
$200
50-minute coaching session
This is the standard length for a typical coaching session. It provides enough time to discuss recent progress, identify new goals, and develop a concrete plan of action for meeting those goals. There is also usually time for general discussion regarding other questions or concerns.
$125
25-minute “boost” session
Recommended if you’re short on time and feel relatively stable and confident in your continued progress. It usually provides enough time to discuss recent successes and setbacks and adjust your current goals and action plan.
$375
110-minute coaching session
This is generally recommended for the initial session. It provides enough time for us to cover personal and professional history, initial goals, recommendations, questions, and develop a beginning action plan that you can begin right away.
$200/hr
Group training/in-service
I offer communication training, drug education seminars, conflict resolution lectures, mindfulness groups, and more. Available online or in-person in the greater Los Angeles area.
